Aalto University stands at #19 of 1,195 universities worldwide on the Materials Science collaboration index, the strongest of its 26 subject standings in the 2026 Research Collaboration Index, published today.

The standing rests on the open scholarly record: 1,584 co-authored works in the field over 2021 to 2025, built with 573 collaborating institutions across 60 countries, with a field-weighted citation impact of 1.79.

Aalto University holds Gold standing overall, at #186 in the world.
