The academic reputation survey season runs broadly from November to February, when the major global rankings ask academics worldwide to name the institutions they rate most highly. Over 275,000 academic contacts receive every GRP newsletter feature, in the weeks after the Research Collaboration Index launch.

Every newsletter feature now goes to over 275,000 academic contacts. The July 2026 edition, audited from GRP's campaign analytics, shows the kind of edition a single feature is placed inside. The 44.97% unique open rate compares against an academic-sector email benchmark of around 28%.

The index is free, public and independent; no commercial relationship changes any position.

Platinum Partnership and Gold Partnership are names of editorial and reach packages. They are separate from the Research Collaboration Index and its Platinum, Gold and Silver standing bands, and no package has any effect on any university's RCI standing, band, rank, score or award.

Audience by subject

Who each subject send reaches: all 55 subjects.

Subscribers per subject send, from GRP's audience of over 275,000 academic contacts (2026-09-28). Each academic contact is counted in at most 3 subjects (their strongest three), and every subject send reaches at least 3,450 subscribers. Subject figures add up to 432,550 placements across the 275,000 contacts, 1.57 per contact, within the three-subject cap. Choose up to three subjects, or a whole faculty; every send is de-duplicated.
