Tiimood · Tiimo mood: integrating end-user’s self-assessment module in ADHD assistive technologies for the continuous enhancement of non-medical therapies

Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a chronic, persistent condition of neurobiological disorder characterised by symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Children with ADHD are at high risk of not completing primary school and the average cost for treating it in the EU ranges from €9,860 to €14,483 per year and child. Assistive technologies for ADHD are still at an early stage and cannot identify those factors enabling a better and faster progress for children.tiimo is a gamified assistive technology for smartwatches, providing children with a clear overview of what they have to do, like “go to school”. Our solution consists of 1) an app for smartwatches to manage their daily life and 2) an integrated web-platform for caregivers to plan the child’s activities. Our novel technological development, Tiimood, is a self-assessment tool combined with a Machine Learning module, based on asking children a feed-back on their mood several times a day. Through Tiimood, tiimo will become an integrated Decision-support Tool, detecting which patterns positively impact children development and enabling the continuous improvement of ADHD therapies. We estimate that Tiimood will generate up to 40% savings per year (i.e. €2,999), in terms of less educational assistance and lower family productivity losses to support a child with ADHD.With 5 and 8 million ADHD children diagnoses, we will first target the EU and USA, representing a Total Addressable Market of €1.3bn. Our business is based on yearly subscriptions. We will address both practitioners, schools and municipalities integrating tiimo in their services (B2B) and supporting us in validating the product before its market launch; and private families buying tiimo for planning their children activities (B2C). We estimate to reach respectively €35.1m and €19.8m of accumulated revenues and profits in 5 years after completing the project (2025) and to generate €924m savings for our end-customers.
