STABILIS · Stabilis – Providing relief for tremor patients

HORIZONStatus: SIGNED1 June 202330 November 2025EU funding €1,635,953Call HORIZON-EIC-2023-ACCELERATOR-01

Millions of people worldwide have trouble with involuntary shaking hands. These shakes are called tremors, commonly seen in Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Essential Tremor. Tremors lead to a lot of frustration. Not only does it make eating and drinking difficult, or impossible, but people are often ashamed. Current treatments to suppress tremors are often inefficient and lead to heavy side effects. There is a need for a new solution. STIL is developing a medical device that will enable people with tremors to return to their activities of daily living. The STIL anti-tremor orthosis (called Stabilis) uses technology that suppresses the tremor but still allows voluntary movement. With its lightweight and ergonomic design, patients can conveniently wear the device when they need it, without the side effects that medication would give. It is STIL’s mission to provide freedom to people who suffer from tremors, allowing them to comfortably live life.
