SET4H2 II · Support to the SET Plan IWG on hydrogen 2026-2028
The aim of SET4H2 II is to provide secretarial support to the new SET Plan Implementation Working Group (IWG) on Hydrogen. This includes updating the IWG’s vision and R&I priorities, transferring the Implementation Plan (IP) into a Common Implementation and Invest Plan (CIIP) in line with the new SET Plan governance, and exploiting synergies with the activities of other SET Plan stakeholders and hydrogen initiatives. The CSA supports the IWG in taking a systematic, integrated and interdisciplinary approach to addressing the research needs of the different regions in Europe. Particular focus will be on facilitating cross-national coordination and implementation of SET Plan priorities included in the current IP and future CIIP. To this end, the CSA will contribute to enhancing cooperation and synergies in SET Plan stakeholder fora formed by industry, science, and public society, as well as among SET-Plan countries, ensuring their active involvement in decision-making and shaping of the strategic research and innovation agenda for hydrogen. The five consortium members have the necessary experience in the field of hydrogen and in coordination activities under the SET Plan. They have worked together in the previous CSA and are involved with SET Plan IWGs including the new one on hydrogen. The annual work plan, comprising eight work packages, sets priorities in three task areas: i) Secretarial support and coordination: WP1 and WP2 provide secretarial support to the CSA consortium and IWG Hydrogen, respectively, ii) Development and implementation of SET Plan priorities: WP 3, 4, 5 and 6 support outreach, coordination and networking with diverse stakeholder fora in order to develop a CIIP for hydrogen, while WP7 monitors the progress of implementation on national levels, iii) WP8 serves to develop and carry out tailored communication and dissemination activities that will increase the IWG’s visibility and inform the SET Plan community and other hydrogen stakeholders.
