Quantum information (QI) plays a fundamental role in modern physics, offering profound insights into the nature of reality and driving transformative technological advancements. The research project ""QUBITTO: Holographic Quantum Information: Building Bridges Between Measures in Quantum Information Theory and Gravity"" aims to employ QI measures and explore their connections with holographic duals. By doing so, it seeks to describe and characterize quantum systems, such as quantum field theory (QFT) and conformal field theory (CFT), and to uncover universal relations within these theories. The objectives of QUBITTO are: i) Ascertain connections between energy functionals in mathematics and holographic entanglement entropy. ii) Breaking down QFTs with defects using QI measures. iii) Constrain the space of QFTs using QI. This multidisciplinary project integrates theoretical approaches from various fields to advance our knowledge of quantum entanglement, black hole thermodynamics, condensed matter physics, and the fundamental nature of the universe. Our proposal QUBITTO represents an innovative approach made possible by the synergistic knowledge and expertise of three world-leading institutions in (holographic) QI measures and their application to QFTs and CFTs: the Institut de Ciències del Cosmos at the Universitat de Barcelona (coordinator institution), the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics at Kyoto University (associated institution), and the Instituto Balseiro at Centro Atómico Bariloche (secondment institution). The successful completion of QUBITTO will enable me to acquire transformational knowledge in a wide range of holographic QI measures with applications in defect quantum systems, and it will constitute a major first step toward initiating my independent academic career. Concurrently, it will offer the scientific community valuable insights into current well-defined fundamental challenges and open the door to potential technological advancements.""
