PLAT_ACE · A new platform technology for the on-demand access to large acenes

The aim of PLAT_ACE is to study the technical and commercial viability of this novel synthetic methodology and its industrial implementation for the generation of nonacene and other larger acenes supported onto surfaces for use in semi-conducting devices with unprecendeted electronic properties and low bandgap. Our technology will be benchmarked against current industrial methodologies to identify the unique selling points and niche applications.We will demonstrate the application of the new acenes as organic based transistors and for other electronic applications by their controlled deposition ofdifferent surfaces.
