PIL-4-E-S&P · Novel polymeric ionic liquids dor environmental sensing and purification
The target of this project is to develop novel materials for new electrochemical sensors and for purification of the environment. Success in this area will open up new frontiers for detection and protection of environment from hazardous chemicals. The material research will focus on preparation of polymer ionic liquids and its evaluation as materials for electrode modification for sensors and as porous absorbers for hazardous chemicals. This fellowship will bring together a strong portfolio of skills from Dr. Vasko Jovanovski (Slovenia) (Ionic Liquids, organic synthesis, academic research), with excellent training opportunities and high level research skills in complementary fields (polymers, electrochemical sensors, industrial research) at CIDETEC, Centre for Electrochemical Technologies (Spain). This will create a unique combination of expertise that will be beneficial to both parties. Together, this team will acquire key skills and insight to deliver significant breakthroughs in the European environmental sensing and protection area.
