PHIVIDIAS · Preclinical Human In Vitro Drug Immune Response Analysis Platform
Drug-induced tissue damage and the associated risk for developing auto-immune secondary disease is fully ignored in preclinical toxicity testing. As a consequence, there are currently 300 drugs on the market that cause drug-induced auto-immune-mediated interstitial lung disease. In their regulatory documents, EMA and FDA strongly advocate for inclusion of tests to address this type of adverse effects in preclinical research. Immundz (www.immundnz.com) addresses this market opportunity by developing a unique and innovative platform, PHIVIDIAS, for comprehensive preclinical analysis of drug-induced tissue damage and the immune response against molecules released from the damaged cells, together with a computational model for risk assessment for developing auto-immune secondary disease. The testing platform will be animal free. Key persons from the client networks and a variety of other small and large companies have already been approached to assess their interest in the PHIVIDIAS platform. Their feedback identified a significant need for the PHIVIDIAS test platform and a variety of companies expressed their commitment to use the services. With PHIVIDIAS, Immundnz will be first in the market.
