PGSYS EXCHANGE · Bioprocess Platform for the A. sojae PGzyme system
PGSYS is an integrated platform for the biosynthesis, tailoring, and final application of the unique pectinase complex from A. sojae, particularly in –but not limited to- the European Food, Beverages, and Environmental industry. PGSYS was born 4 years ago from the pioneering work of Dr. Canan Tari, at Izmir Institute of Technology (Turkey), and further funded by German-Turkish Bodies, and by the EU within the EuroTransBio-3-Scheme. This has resulted in a network of scientist working on the project, including public and private partners, particularly SMEs. In the present project, the partners are proposing joint research and training activities, workshops, and other networking activities with the aim of exploiting complementary expertise with Latin-American and Mediterranean Countries. As a result of such complementarities and synergies, additional benefits in terms of transfer of knowledge and skill are anticipated.
