PCHP · Complete and optimize the PeachPie compiler technology to be fully compatible with the PHP language in order to increase the performance of up to 80% of the internet.
PeachPie is a compiler and runtime of PHP on .NET. The PHP language powers over 80% of the entire internet thanks to its ease of use and simplicity. While .NET is more complex, it offers a significantly higher performance, security and stability. PeachPie combines the best of these two worlds, allowing legacy PHP applications to run on a more modern platform. Because .NET’s architecture allows applications to run on multiple processor threads, PeachPie enables PHP code to run on servers with a much higher throughput, consequently saving huge amounts of server resources. This may, in fact, lead to a lower energy consumption of the world’s largest companies due to resource savings. PeachPie is heavily supported by Microsoft and is the first project outside of the organization to be admitted into its .NET Foundation. The technology is offered open-source and free for anyone to use, but has monetization plans on top of the core software that targets enterprises and corporate entites.
