The overall objective of the project is to bring together an international and interdisciplinary research teams for the purpose of forming a center for research and transfer of knowledge in the area of international migration.Migration is an international phenomenon that transcends national boundaries. It is no longer limited to only few areas of the world, with many new migration systems having established themselves over the last 20 years. The project will take predominantly economic and socio-economic perspective. The team will commence its work from a clear standpoint: migration phenomena are similar across the world and there are many tools to investigate them that can be used successfully in various geographic areas. Promoting universal scientific approach, the project is going to trespass geographical and political fragmentation of this study area.
