INDEN · New pincer-type complexes derived from 2-indenylidene ligands

FP7Status: CLOSED1 March 201128 February 2013EU funding €165,646

The group of D. Bourissou has recently reported a new family of indenyl-type ligands bearing one or two coordinating side-arms. These new ligands have allowed the preparation of several metal complexes (Zr, Rh, Pd) exhibiting original coordination modes: eta-1 indenyl and 2-indenylidene. In this project, we envision to take advantage of the strong sigma-donor character of such original 2-indenylidene pincer ligands (i) to stabilise oxo and peroxo complexes of late transition metals and (ii) to explore their activity in hydroamination reactions.
