GPSis currently established in or society -it is a powerful tool that we easily use to efficiently navigate in our daily tasks. Despite its excellent precision in outdoors positioning, GPS technology is unable to locate people or objects within buildings. As of today, there is no a comparable technology that enables accurate, fast and reliable positioning indoors without the use of an expensive hardware to be pre-installed in the building to be tracked. Indeed, the lack of a standard for indoor positioning has led to the adaptation of existingtechnologies such as Bluetooth, WLAN / WI-FI or illumination (LED’s). Regardless the efforts, these technologies are not optimal for indoor positioning because (1) lack accuracy (2-5 m)and (2) require the installation of costly hardware inside the facility.INS Insider Navigation Systems GmbH(Austria)has developed IN-do,a novelsolution for mobile indoor navigation. IN-do ishardware independentandcompatible with any venueand mobile device based onreal-time optical tracking enabled by INSpatent pending HyMoTrack.Integratingfloor plan of the building with image acquisition through the device’s cameraallows final users toexperience accurate indoor positioning(cm accuracy)with dynamic navigation and augmented reality(AR)thanks to the rich virtual content.IN-do’s excellence will increase visibility, productivity and profitability of large business areas such as airports, malls, museums, and large industrial facilitiesboosting their growth bylocation sharing, asset tracking, emergency management, navigation, and advertising context-aware delivery. In 2016 Frost and Sullivan describedIN-do as thetechnology with the highest market opportunity forindoor navigation.Thesetechnologies will grow at an impressive 37% rate to reach €18 billion globally by 2021. IN-do uniqueness will drive the profitability of INSto generate €23.7 million accumulated revenue.
