Human Values · PRESIDENCY EVENT (DK) - CONFERENCE “HUMAN VALUES AND GRAND CHALLENGES: SSAH CONTRIBUTIONS TO EUROPEAN TRANSFORMATIONS AND RESILIENCE”

The world is facing rapid and profound societal change and grand challenges in the coming decade. If Europe is going to respond efficiently to these challenges, research into possible ways of addressing the challenges ahead must effectively integrate knowledge from both STEM and SSAH in order to support long-term solution. In such turbulent times it becomes more critical than ever to understand how human values are evolving in parallel, and the ways in which they continue to shape our collective and individual decision-making, rational and emotional preferences, and moral and affective judgements –as citizens, consumers and communities. The presidency conference will support a shared vision of human-centric R&I for a more sustainable, inclusive Europe by bringing together policy-makers, research funders and researchers in order to discuss ways in which this goal can be achieved.
