GEOMODULI · Geometry of moduli spaces of bundles over curves

The researcher C. Pauly plans to investigate several problems related to the geometry of moduli spaces of vector bundles over curves. The proposal deals with three different aspects: conformal blocks and the Hitchin/WZW connection, vector bundles in positive characteristic and the projective geometry of moduli spaces. Research will be undertaken at the Laboratoire J. A. Dieudonné of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis in collaboration with experts in the different research areas. The research programme includes research visits of experts to the University of Nice, the organization of an international conference, of a school for young researchers, and a one-year post-doctoral position.
