FORCE ""Fishing and aquaculture-Oriented Research Capacity in Egypt"" project is designed to enhance the capacity of the Egyptian National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, NIOF to carry out research activities aimed at supporting the implementation of sound and science-based policies for the sustainable development of fishery and aquaculture in Egypt, as well as in the whole Mediterranean North African region. FORCE will enable NIOF to fill the Scientific and Technological gap, which, at present, is one of the main factors that hampers the further sustainable management of fishery and aquaculture. The overall FORCE scientific objectives are to identify potential for more efficient cooperation between EU research institutions and NIOF focused on fishery and aquaculture as means of development of S&T and increasing sustainable yields
