ExpaMeco · Expansion of Media Content Use Cases: Exploiting Content-Technologies in Multimedia Products

The project ExpaMeco will transfer technologies, platforms, infrastructure and business perspectives of the ongoing FI-PPP ecosystem to the SME and web entrepreneur scene in the area of media. The take-up activities will address at least 25 new players, which will join the FI-PPP activities through three Open Calls. Each of the SMEs will be selected, supported, mentored and controlled by the partners of the consortium under the guidance of etventure which is responsible to manage the funds for the SMEs. etventure is a business development and venture company and will act as project agency, specialized to identify and accompany promising SMEs and web entrepreneurs. etventure is a driving force in the European start-up capital Berlin and provides extensive experience for launching and building start-ups in the online- and mobile sector. etventure will be supported by three companies (Thoughtbox, Weblify, F-Secure) to cover growing economies in Europe (Ireland/UK, Finland/Scandinavia, Poland/Eastern Europe). Additionally, Fraunhofer will bring in their extensive expertise in FI-PPP/content technologies and will connect the activities with the FI-PPP ecosystem. In particular, ExpaMeco has the following objectives:1) Strengthen the European web entrepreneur and SMEs in media, education and online services in order to shape its competitive position and growth2) Identify the most promising 25 web entrepreneurs and/or SMEs from at least 5 European countries through the execution of 3 European-wide, fully trans-parent Open Calls3) Leverage at least 15 Specific Enablers and 10 Generic Enablers in order to build innovative, scalable Minimum Viable Products for media-related market domains4) Ensure the large scale testing of the products developed by providing a mini-mum of 2.500 users in total with Minimum Viable Products built on top of FI-PPP technologies and platformsWith the results of the project, the FI-PPP ecosystem will be strengthened and extended.
