EuroMobi · Europe and Mobilities: Challenges and Opportunities for Socio-Economic Transformations
The EuroMobi project addresses the socio-economic challenges and transformations arising from demographic, migration and technological changes affecting the European Union. These changes require a deeper understanding of their implications and an enhanced dialogue between researchers, policy makers and stakeholders. EuroMobi aims to bridge critical gaps between academia, policy makers and practitioners by fostering collaboration and facilitating knowledge exchange on socio-economic change in Europe. The centrepiece of the project will be a high-level international conference, a key event of the Polish EU Presidency. This three-day event will bring together leading researchers, policy-makers, NGOs and international organisations to discuss key socio-economic challenges, explore lessons learned from past experiences and identify pathways for future EU reforms and enlargement.Through keynote speeches, thematic panels and networking opportunities, the conference will address key issues such as migration, demographic change, democratic backsliding, technology and AI, and green transformation. It will also present insights from cross-European research collaborations between academic and non-academic actors in the social sciences and humanities, and explore strategies for interdisciplinary collaboration for future Horizon Europe funding opportunities.EuroMobi will strengthen the dialogue between academia and the policy field, facilitating the production of useful insights for policy makers and stakeholders. By fostering partnerships and exchanges, the project aims to develop scenarios for the EU's socio-economic future and contribute to ongoing reforms at both local and European level. The initiative is a crucial step in ensuring Europe's ability to manage and adapt to change in an effective and collaborative way.
