ETRERA · Empowering Tunisian Renewable Energy Research Activities

EU S&T policy aims at enhancing the research potential of the enlarged European Research Area by strengthening the research and technological development capacities of research entities belonging to Mediterranean Partner Countries. The project goal is to unlock the large knowledge potential from European research activities in the area of renewable Energy field for uptake and exploitation in scientific and technological research centres of a MPC third country. Therefore ETRERA –Empowering Tunisian Renewable Energy Research Activities- will provide a contribute to strengthen a closer cooperation between European research centres of excellence and research centre belonging to MPC third countries in order to enhance MPC research entities empowerment. The proposal aims at networking two European research centres of excellence, one belonging to European convergence region and the other one from the Member States, with a third one coming from Tunisia country, all of them working on renewable energy field. Consequently the project idea is to improve S&T cooperation opportunities and relationships in the strategic field of renewable energy between European Member States and Tunisia, especially by upgrading research capacities of Tunisia and making visible their research activities to a largest European scientific public. The proposal aims to set up different integrated actions such as, knowledge transfer, development and upgrading of Tunisian S&T research capacities and human potential, exploiting knowledge coming from the European leading research centres. The starting point of the proposal has been provided by the SWOT Analysis on scientific and technological state of the art of Tunisian CRTEn in charge of researching in the field of renewable energy.
