E-CAERO · European Collaborative Dissemination of Aeronautical research and applications

FP7Status: CLOSED1 September 200931 October 2013EU funding €713,487

The aim of E-CAero is to harmonize the dissemination between six european associations in the aeronautics/turbomachinery sector. The main objectives are: 1) identifying existing and new areas of interest and clarifying skills, experiences and capabilities of the partners in the relevant technological areas of multi-physics Aeronautics and Aero engines; 2) developing new concepts of collaborative scientific/technical organization of European/international events in order to ensure high quality of events 3) merging existing and new logistic concepts making the activities more efficient, cheaper and more attractive to academic and industrial audience. The specific activities will focus on: a) the state of the art dissemination existing in aeronautics/turbomachinery areas in the scope of each partner for single and multi-physics simulation, experimentation and design tools; b) the development of a common database IT tool incorporating the knowledge of the relevant scientific/technical/logistic organization and dissemination of events including proceedings, journals and websites; c) the collaborative organization and management of existing and new academy and industry oriented events , d) the evaluation of the impact of dissemination of the project outputs among universities, research centres and industries in the aeronautic/turbomachinery sector. The starting point is the existing network of each partner. The main outcomes of the project are: 1) identification and consolidation of technical areas for dissemination, 2) collecting and storing information through a European Database including written information, 3) set up of new events requiring sharing knowledge in technical networked expertise and logistics, 4) common management and technical activities, 5) identifying and merging joint skills, experiences and capabilities, 6) sharing of knowledge through collaborative single/multi-physics activities of each partner and 7) paving the way to management efficiency.
