This proposal aims at enhancing the research capabilities of the Crete Center for Particle Physics and Cosmology, a small high-quality research group in Heraklion, Crete (LFR and at the outskirts of Europe) . This is expected to be done by (a) hiring qualified scientists that will enhance the research capacity, and be eventually integrated at the Center (b) Instituting a twining program with 9 top European groups in the field, including incoming and ougoing visits (c) Establishing a program of workshops and conferences that aim to improve the research directions and increasing the visibility of the Center (d) establishing an Advisory/Evaluation Comiittee composed of 3 top scientists that will advise the Center towards a successfull completion of the project, and will valuate the success of the project at the end.
