COMFUTURO iAGE is a 60-month programme designed to recruit ten top researchers (with up to 8 years of postdoctoral experience and who comply with the MSCA mobility rule) providing them with 36-month fellowships to conduct innovative projects at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Spain’s leading public research institution. Coordinated by Fundación General CSIC (FGCSIC), with extensive experience in public-private research collaboration, it offers researchers an opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research addressing the broad challenge of ageing, with special emphasis on digitalisation, key priority for Europe’s future.Fellows, recruited through a transparent and international selection process, will have the freedom to choose their specific research topics within the scope of ageing and digital transformation, encouraging groundbreaking ideas that can contribute to scientific advancement but also have the potential to impact society positively. COMFUTURO iAGE offers a research-related and transferable skills training programme to prepare fellows for future challenges. A series of associated partners will contribute to this training and will provide fellows with career development opportunities. Furthermore, the fellowship will include a non-academic secondment, which will allow fellows to immerse themselves in diverse environments, enriching their perspectives and significantly enhancing their career perspectives and employability, both within and outside academia. Recruited fellows will receive guidance from qualified supervisors and support from various CSIC and FGCSIC offices, including the Welcoming International Talent (WIT) office at CSIC or departments with specialized expertise in open science, gender diversity, or IPR. COMFUTURO iAGE, with a strong interdisciplinary, intersectoral, and international dimension, aims to provide a dynamic environment that can foster fellows' proffesional growth and advancements in ageing and digitalisation.
