CHIRGOLD · DESIGN PRINCIPLES IN THE STEREOSELECTIVE CATALYSIS WITH GOLD COMPLEXES

FP7Status: CLOSED15 May 200814 April 2010EU funding €159,262

A novel approach in catalyst development will combine established principles of ligand design in asymmetric catalysis, the use of chiral counterions, as well as the metallophilic aggregation of Au(I) centres in oligonuclear gold complexes. This is proposed to lead to new efficient stereoselective catalysts based in gold(I) which will be employed in C-C and C-X coupling reactions as well as enantioselective hydrogenations.
