BPM4PEOPLE · Business Process Modelling for Participatory Enterprises, Organizations, and Public Aministration Bodies""

FP7Status: CLOSED1 September 201131 August 2013EU funding €977,400

The Project will put together two of the major innovation drivers in the enterprise software industry of the last decade: Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) and Enterprise Social Software (ESS). The objective of the Project is to create a radically new generation of BPM tools capable of integrating the analysis, specification, design, implementation and evolution of Business Processes with social networking functions, allowing companies and public administrations to quickly deploy more flexible and human-cantered business processes that exploit the social interactions within the community of employees, customers, and suppliers. The project will propose social extensions of OMG’s BPMN 2.0, implement BPM tools based on such extensions, and demonstrate the deployment on top of mainstream social networking platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, FaceBook, and enterprise social networks). The Social BPM tool suite created in the Project will feature a technical and organizational flexibility expressly conceived for SMEs, who nowadays cannot easily afford the complexity and high total cost of traditional BPM solutions.""
