ASMOSEP · Advances in Spectroscopic Monitoring of Styrene Emulsion Polymerization

FP7Status: CLOSED1 April 200931 March 2011EU funding €30,000

This project proposes further advancement and development of the novel spectroscopic method i.e. of its current state of the art, created during Marie Curie ITN research project INTROSPECT. Although it promises a noticeable breakthrough in Process Analytical Technology (PAT) of monitoring concentrations in particulate/turbid media it is in an embryonic stage and its practical applicability is yet unanswered question. A number of applicability issues must be solved for its successful implementation in a particular industrial process. The focus of this project is the application of this method to styrene emulsion polymerization.
